Sometimes the real question is not “can this be repaired” but “what is going on here” – and who will put that in writing. That is what this service is for: a factual assessment of home electronics. Laptop, PC, TV, smartphone, tablet, console, monitor, printer, audio system and whatever else you have standing around.
Damage claims
A device has been dropped, has taken on liquid, has survived a power surge – or has not. We establish what is damaged, whether the damage fits the described sequence of events, what the repair costs and what the device was worth immediately before the damage. Those four figures are what insurers and opposing parties usually want to see.
Disputes and proceedings
When a dealer, a repair shop or an insurer takes a different view, a solid written report helps more than an assertion. We produce private expert reports – reports commissioned by one party, which you can submit out of court or bring into proceedings through your lawyer. They contain findings, reasoning, photos and a traceable derivation of the figures.
What a private expert report is not
the court-appointed expert report. Only the court commissions that one, and it picks the person itself. A private report is a party submission – it is read, it is weighed, and it is often the reason a matter never reaches court at all. Where it cannot help, we tell you beforehand.
Independent means independent
In Germany the term “Sachverständiger” (expert) is not a protected title – nobody here is publicly appointed or sworn in, and we do not pretend otherwise. What we bring is daily practice with exactly these devices. We tell you what we see, how we arrive at it and where our assessment reaches its limit.
This is deliberately not a sales pitch. It happens regularly that the honest answer is “leave it” – and then that is what it says. And if a finding goes against you, you hear it from us and not from the other side.
Common questions
- What is the device still worth today – for a sale, for insurance or for a decision?
- What exactly is broken and what is causing it?
- Does the damage fit the described sequence of events – or do the findings speak against it?
- What does the repair cost, and what was the device worth before?
- Is a repair still worth it, or is the money better spent elsewhere?
- Is this cost estimate reasonable? A second opinion before you agree.
- Was a previous repair carried out properly?
- Is this second-hand device any good – before you buy it?
How you receive it
