The Scandinavian population of the arctic fox is critically endangered. The main threat is climate change: rising temperatures are shrinking snow cover and sea ice \u2013 precisely the basis of life the arctic fox depends on. At the same time, red foxes are pushing further into its habitat, competing for food and territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What does that have to do with technology?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every device repaired instead of thrown away is one production cycle less. Less manufacturing means less energy consumption, less resource extraction, less CO\u2082. It is not a big contribution \u2013 but an honest one. Why buy new when the product already exists?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
